Fremantle Press will work with students and teachers at Rosalie Primary School, Shenton Park, to create book trailers in the lead-up to the 2010 Rosalie Writers Festival.
Year Four students will learn how to create book trailers in workshops run by Kiri Falls, Emerging Arts Professional at Fremantle Press, and illustrator Chris Nixon.
Fifteen titles from the Fremantle Press children’s list will be used by students to create their book trailers.
The book trailers will then be used to promote the Rosalie Writers Festival in the weeks before it begins.
The Rosalie Writers Festival will run from 14-17 May 2010, and is an annual festival that introduces authors to students and encourages the joy of reading and writing.
