Celebrate the launch of three new poetry collections with an evening of live music and performance poetry. Featuring: Tracy Ryan, Michael Heald, Kevin Gillam, Andrew Landsdown, Amanda Joy, Liana Joy Christensen, John Charles Ryan and Caitlin Maling.

Talented local poets Kevin Gillam, Michael Heald and Fremantle Press Poetry Publisher Georgia Richter give creative writing students the low-down on writing their own poetry. Open to secondary school students in years 8-12. Places are limited and bookings are essential!

Using the thongs that wash ashore every day as their canvas, Christmas Island’s creative writing students have produced an art installation using self-penned Haiku-inspired poetry. Join us at Voicebox for the launch or get down to Clancy’s throughout the month of July.

Australian Poetry presents: ZiNeIORS with Kevin Gillam and Andy Jackson

At the end of this free two-hour workshop participants will have learnt the difference between a zine and a chapbook, seen examples of each, heard why they are created, have brainstormed for their own zine and will have commenced work on one themselves. Places are limited and bookings are essential.
