Crack Fed Dreams
On crack fed dreams I’ve seen him drift away
filling up the spaces in the shadows
I’ve seen him but he cannot break away
A stranger down life’s ragged highway
hollow eyed he walks on ugly rainbows
On crack fed dreams I’ve seen him drift away
Tired of tryin’ life a stowaway
a lover disenchanted brought down low
I’ve seen him but he cannot break away
When daffodils explode then hide away
he only hears the bleakness of the blow
On crack fed dreams I’ve seen him drift away
His laughter is a door of grimy grey
that turns two kinds of doorknobs he can go
I’ve seen him but he cannot break away
Kaleidoscopic mind of paper mache
Dissolves like cotton candy in the rain
On crack fed dreams I’ve seen him drift away
I’ve seen him but he cannot break away
