Week 5: Events Manager Update

Poetry buffs imagined some stellar slam line-ups on the blog this week. If you too enjoy spoken word, get in on the conversation by Monday 21 June and you’ll go in the draw to win four collections from John Kinsella!

There will, of course, be plenty of live poetry during Fremantle Poetry Month – at the launch (Thursday 8 July), and the Meet the Poets evening (Thursday 15 July) in particular.

Someone else who loves a good performance poet is Ellen Broad, of indigo journal. We welcomed Ellen to the Fremantle Press offices this week, and she’ll be around for several weeks to help with Fremantle Poetry Month.

Meanwhile at the Fremantle Library, the Fremantle Press display has been taken over by poetry. Whether you’re looking to expand your poetry horizons or just testing the water, have a browse of the display before checking out the poetry shelf elsewhere in the library.

And finally, the winner of last week’s giveaway is Heather Goodwin, who wins a copy of Southern Edge by Barbara Temperton. Congrats, Heather!
