Hal Spacejock 3 wins a Tin Duck Award

Congratulations to Simon Haynes author of Hal Spacejock: Just Desserts for winning a 2008 Tin Duck Award from the Western Australian Science Fiction Foundation for best professional long work.

The Tin Duck, which recognizes achievement in science fiction by Western Australian authors, was announced at a ceremony over the Easter long weekend.

Jamie Edis was joined by a crowd of some 150 giraffe-loving children and their parents at Galileo Books in York this weekend for the launch of his new picture book: Have you ever heard a giraffe laugh?

Gerard the giant giraffe (pictured) had pride of place in the shop window and was admired by young and old alike.
